Salt and Ketchup

Have you ever sat down to eat with someone and seen them sprinkle salt all over their plate before even taking a bite?

This drives me crazy.

The same is true for ketchup. Do you know someone who puts ketchup on almost everything they eat?

The problem with putting ketchup on everything, is that everything ends up tasting like ketchup. The problem with putting salt on everything, is that everything ends up tasting like salt.

Where’s the risk? Where’s the experience? Where’s the serendipity?

This doesn’t just pertain to food. It happens in life too. If you surround yourself with predictable environments and predictable situations and predictable patterns of behavior…you will get predictable results.

Behavior, attitude, disposition and risk tolerance at are the condiments of life. And there are more choices than just salt and ketchup.

How about you? Are you using too much salt and ketchup?
