Biography

I am Jonathan Davito, CAPM the Director of Information Technology and Business Development Leader for American Business Brokers a small but growing brokerage firm based out of the Midwest. I am also a partner and business development leader for RE/MAX Commercial Partners in Clayton, MO.
As department head for a national business brokerage firm and a growing commercial franchise, I wear many hats. My professional responsibilities can be described as equal parts database administrator, systems analyst, operations manager, technical support, marketing personnel, brand manager/evangelist, public speaker, communications director and project manager.
I grew up in the Midwest where I attended and graduated from St. Anthony’s Grade School and High School in Effingham, Illinois. In 1997 I moved to St. Louis, Missouri to pursue a degree in higher education. A 2002 graduate of the University of Missouri’s program in Biology, I began working for the Genome Sequencing Center at the Washington University School of Medicine in November of that same year. I consider myself very fortunate to be a contributing member on many landmark scientific efforts such as the sequencing of the human and mouse genomes and various other model organisms.
During my time at the university, I applied and was accepted into the University College’s continuing education program for graduates in the area of Information Management. In 2006, I graduated summa cum laude from the prestigious School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Washington University with a Bachelors degree in Information Management. I am an active member of the Project Management Institute [PMI] where I have earned the recognition of Certified Associate in Project Management [CAPM].
I left Washington University in the fall of 2006 to accept a position as Director of Information Technology with American Business Brokers. A position I still hold to this day. In 2007 I was a contributing member to the start-up website GasStations.com and served as Marketing & Development coordinator for the e-commerce site until 2011.
From late 2009 to mid-2011 I was a SEO and website usability consultant for Elysium, a design and technology company operating out of Geneva, Switzerland. With Elysium I worked with a multi-national group of designers and developers creating and maintaining international websites of the highest quality.
I enjoy learning about new and emerging technologies, playing with WordPress and consider myself an avid reader. I currently reside just west of St. Louis with my wife Tiffany and our four kids.
